On this day, we were expecting a cold front to arrive later that morning. The western sky was already a dark slate color as I hurried out the door to complete my morning chores ahead of its arrival. After feeding the chickens and a couple of our horses, the sun fully rose above the horizon in the east, and bathed everything in bright, early morning light. That, set against the dark, stormy looking sky, took my breath away. The contrast was beautiful.

I always try to take a moment and find the beauty around me, to appreciate God’s creation, and more often than not, snap a photo for later. Because sometimes, you walk outside, glance up to check the weather and BOOM! The sky is just AMAZING.
